The DigiSender® HD Pro3 is the ultimate Video Sender for the discerning viewer. With our new Lossless Powerline Technology you can transmit the HD signal from up to 3 connected high definition sources, to a second TV, in glorious 1080p high definition. The transmitter features HDMI throughpass, so there is no need to worry about HDMI splitters or HDCP restrictions, and the system can be expanded to include a total of four receivers. The system also features Ethernet over Powerline, allowing you to connect to your router (and hence the internet) without having to run a long ethernet cable or relying on patchy WiFi.

Each pack also contains two HDMI cables so you can get set up straight away.

Using powerline means it cant suffers with Wi-fi in the vicinity. It’s the best option by far.

I tried this system with 4 receivers and gave up. It was causing network bandwidth issues so I called AEI and spoke to guy called Chris. I didnt realise that in some applications you can only use 3 receivers and when I checked thats what it said on their website. Humble pie, but with 3 receivers in my kitchen and two bedrooms it works fine so I can't complain.

This unit is so good. (It is a replacement for an old AEI 5.4GB RF Digisender which suffered from static interference a lot.) The picture in the kitchen on an LG 21" HD is nearly as good as my 4K Samsung.
Bit of a problem with the DVD/Humax etc relay not working. I had to use the old Digisender to change channels. After talking to Shawn I removed the large black magic eye and replaced it with one of the other two twin magic eyes that wee in the box. Now working perfectly. It should be noted the mistake was made due to the box having two of the twin magic eyes and only one "Blaster" instead of the other way round.. This is not an issue for me now all is working ok and I have a spare magic eye.

Thanks to Phillip Brown for his research on CEC, if I need to disable it he will have saved me a lot of research.

After speaking with Shawn he asked if I had any difficulty in getting through on the phone as some customers had said they had issues. I said that I did not and on the three occassions I have prhoned my call was answered within two to three rings so no problem at all.

I have spent ages on this, how is it that when I switch off the TV in the bedroom it switches off the TV in the lounge even when I have the remote relay completely disconnected. I was pulling my hair out and so dropped an email through to the guys at AEI. Got a call back 2 hours later from a guy named Shawn Downey who explained it all to me.

So here goes...

Shawn explained that should I happen to have 4 TV screens set up in a pub, then switching on One TV and having all 4 come on at the same time would be a great idea, and yes I can quite imagine but alas I have a humble home and I don't want my screens talking to each other.

It stems from the fact that the data that passes between screens can pass through the DigiSender but only their powerline models as it was explained to me. This data is called CEC control. Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) is a feature of HDMI designed to allow users to command and control up to 15 devices connected through HDMI (but it should be noted the DigiSender can only handle 4 devices) by using only one remote control (for example by controlling a television set, set-top box, and DVD player using only the remote control of the TV). CEC also allows for individual CEC-enabled devices to command and control each other without user intervention.

As it that was great to know, finding CEC control and switching it off became even more curious. I have a samsung in my Loung and an LG in ,y bedromm, accessing the setting menue on both TVs gave me no clue as to how to swiutch off CEC.

Shawn then explained that it is called something differenet defendent on the make of your TVs so with a bit of guidence I was able to reserach the following:

CEC is called different things and here's is the full list:

Trade names for CEC are:

Anynet+ (Samsung)
Aquos Link (Sharp)
BRAVIA Link, BRAVIA Sync, Control for HDMI (Sony)
CE-Link, Regza Link (Toshiba)
E-link (AOC)
EasyLink (Philips)
Fun-Link (Funai, Sylvania, Emerson, Magnavox, Philips)

I have had this unit for about 3 months now and it's perfect! I use the HD Pro with some of the additional receivers for my kitchen and dining room. The receiver occasionally gets a message about poor bandwidth when I'm vacuuming but goes away as soon as I stop.
